Alex Tessler
Alex is a die hard Islander fan who has lived in Mount Sinai, Stony Brook and currently spends his summer and winter breaks in Port Jefferson, NY. He graduated Ward Melville Senior High School in East Setauket, NY and currently attends the University at Albany, SUNY. He is majoring in Political Science with a specialization in International Relations and plans to join the United States Air Force as an officer after college. He has watched the Islanders faithfully since 2001 and was in attendance for the famous Shawn Bates penalty shot in the 2001 playoffs against Toronto. His favorite Islander is Travis Hamonic. In addition to the Islanders, Alex is also a Jets and Yankees faithful and also considers himself a fan of the Washington Capitals and Winnipeg Jets.
Carey Haber
Carey has been an Islander fan since 1995-96 and a Nassau County Resident his entire life. He currently resides in Plainview, NY and just recently graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Marketing. Islanders Central is a reincarnation of his former blog, which ran between the summer months of 2007. His favorite current Islander is Kyle Okposo. He also roots for the New York Mets, New York Jets, and Pitt Panthers.
